The Urania and Peace (Beke) art cinemas are operating in the House of Arts of Miskolc (Rákóczi u. 5.), equipped with the latest technology in modern projection and digital sound. The Urania auditorium has a capacity of 140 people and offers 3D movies, while the Beke auditorium has a capacity of 70 people. Both offer three show times daily. Ticket office hours are 2:30 p.m. till 8:30 p.m. daily. Tickets are also sold online.
Foreign and Hungarian art films are an essential part of their program, but they also organize film festivals, special events, workshops, etc.
The cinemas are members of the Europa Cinemas Cinema Network and the International Association of Art Cinemas. Daytime tours are also available for school groups upon request. The auditoriums are air-conditioned, and the ticket prices are the lowest in the city. They provide a true cinematic experience from the latest films to cinema history treasures on the big screen.
They also host the screenings of the CineFest International Film Festival held in Miskolc every September.
