County Hall
The Miskolc County Hall is a neoclassical building currently located at No. 1 City Hall Square across from City Hall.
Construction of today's building began in the early 1800s and completed by 1826. József Hild was the advisor later on. The neoclassical façade is from 1840. The building was seriously damaged in a fire in 1843. Further alterations were made during the repair work. From 1907 to 1942, newer wings were built.
The building's ornamental hall is decorated with allegorical paintings by the painter Dezső Raksányi of the Benczúr School. The small assembly hall was set up in the 1980s and features a porcelain wall art by artist Endre Szász.
