Avas Wine Fest – ”Wine-ding Road of the Avas Cellars”

Every year in late spring, the wine and gastronomy festival is held with the purpose of restoring the Avas region’s once striving wine culture to its former glory. The festival takes place each May in the historic Avas Wine Cellar Row near the Avas Lookout Tower.

The wines are the products of the Bukk Mountains wine region, and the great food is presented by fine local restaurants. Music is provided by ”wine cellar” music bands and musicians contributing to the great atmosphere.

During the festival, concerts are held on the Avas Hill and historic Avas Reformed Church.

The Avas Wine Fest is organized by Friends of the Miskolc Wine Society.
