Lovers Bridge
At the western end of the Szinva Terrace is a small bridge frequented by not only locals but visitors as well. The Lovers Bridge has a nice tradition. For years, couples have been decorating the railings with padlocks. It is customary to throw the key in the water after locking it, symbolizing everlasting love that cannot be broken.
Today, hundreds of padlocks of various shapes, sizes, and inscriptions adorn the bridge. The very first padlock was placed by the city itself in the middle of the bridge, setting an example for the rest; easily recognizable by its size and location.
