Fazola Festival

The multi-day event takes place outdoors at the Fazola Furnace, Massa Museum and the Ironmongery in September. The festival is multi-purpose; one is fostering the traditions of the Selmec iron workers; the second is to educate visitors about the region’s centuries-old manufacturing industry, culture, and values while promoting technical and industrial careers among the younger generation, and thirdly, expressing the close-knit relationship of the region’s mining, metallurgical, and forestry societies.

The festival is enriched by spectacular iron-smelting, hammer and forging shows. It is highly recommended to take the Lillafüred Railway to this event.
